Mayveda Comyn was our great, great grandmother. She was born in 1872 when Queen Victoria was on the throne, a teenager during the Edwardian era, lived through two world wars and passed away at a grand age in the early 1950’s. Her mother, Maria Stoken, was an opera singer, performing in London and Paris. Maria’s husband, Rawdon Hastings was an old Harrovian antiques dealer, living and conducting his business from their Mayfair home. Mayveda enjoyed a privileged upbringing, eventually meeting and marrying Charles Bradshaw, a stockbroker.

Mayveda was left a large box containing her own and her mother’s jewellery to her daughter. Her daughter passed it in turn to her eldest daughter and, eventually, down through the years to us – our inspiration for a lifelong obsession with vintage jewellery and the inspiration for this online shop for those who share our passion.

Mayveda’s taste was eclectic – her collection showed the many different genres she wore over the years, but always displaying the quality and style that characterise the best in vintage pieces.

We have been collecting our vintage and antique jewellery in London, Suffolk and Paris for many years. We hope that you appreciate the fine workmanship, style and value in the many pieces we find, not present in today’s mass-produced replicas.

Our jewellery collection has been featured in Vogue Italia shot by Miles Aldridge, Vogue Korea, AnOther Magazine, You and Your Wedding magazine and Country and Townhouse.

We both hope you enjoy our collection and would really like to hear from you.
