Payment & Security

How do I pay and is it secure?

Payment is processed using ‘Stripe’ for a guaranteed secure payment service. Stripe is the leading online payment processing service designed to protect your online details and identity. Alternatively we accept bank transfers and cheques. Please contact our office for further information regarding bank transfers and the use of cheques.

Is the delivery safe and secure?

All items are sent by the Royal Mail, using their secure ‘Special Delivery’ or ‘Signed For’ service within the UK or ‘International Signed For’ service abroad. All items are tracked and tracking numbers can be provided. Urgent items can be delivered the next day if the order is placed by 1pm. Please be aware all delivery options need to be signed for and require somebody at the delivery address to receive the parcel.

All items will be dispatched within 48hrs of receiving payment with the exception of urgent items which will be send on that day. An email will be sent to notify you that the item has been sent.

All items ordered at MAYVEDA will be placed in our personalised signature packaging. The piece will be further wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a protective envelope ready to be safely and securely delivered.

What is the quality of the jewellery?

Antique and vintage jewellery normally show signs of age. At MAYVEDA we aim to sell items that are in excellent vintage condition. Exceptions are sometimes made if the piece is particularly unique or rare. All items are described in great detail indicating any flaws in the piece. Any items that do not meet the expectation of the customer can be returned within 7 days, with a full money back guarantee.

How accurate are the measurements and dates of the jewellery?

The measurements of the pieces provided on our website are approximations to provide a guide for our customers.

MAYVEDA seeks to provide accurate dates for each item through knowledge, understanding and research. Unmarked items are very difficult to date and therefore such dates must be regarded as estimates, though we strive to be as accurate as we can. The dates on all marked items should be accurate if carrying hallmarks and makers marks.
