Antique Victorian (1837-1901) beautiful hand painted glass locket featuring gold and blue decoration. The locket is set in a gold tone brass, it opens from the bottom and hangs from a gold tone box chain. The locket features verre églomisé, from the French term meaning gilded glass, it is a decorative technique in which the back of the glass is gilded with gold or metal leaf.
MEASUREMENT
The locket measures 6.3cm / 2.4" in length and 4.3cm / 1.7" in width. The chain measures 48cm / 18.8".
CONDITION
The locket is in good antique condition, the setting is slightly worn from age.
