Vintage Sterling Silver Indochinese Bangle Bracelet
Description
Vintage sterling silver Indochinese hollow bangle. The bangle features a raised floral pattern. The bangle has a dark patina in the background allowed the raised pattern to standout.
Dating this bangle was difficult, we most likely think it is Indochinese from the design. The bangle has been very handcrafted, most probably using a techniques such a called repoussé and chasing. Repoussé refer to a metalworking technique in which the metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Chasing, chased work, or embossing refer to a similar technique, in which the piece is hammered on the front side, sinking the metal.

The bangle has a internal measurement of 5.9cm / 2.3" in diameter. The height of the bracelet is 1.3cm / 0.5".
MEASURING YOUR WRIST
Use a tape measure. Wrap the tape measure around the wrist on which you plan to wear your MAYVEDA bracelet. Make a note of the number at the point where the tape meets the 0. To ensure the bracelet fits comfortably, add 1.5 cm. You can then add or subtract centimeters according to whether you prefer a loose, exact or tight fit
CONDITION
The bangle is in good vintage condition. The bangle button to open the bangle is slightly worn away. It is very secure when worn.
